I don’t frequently splurge at the thrift store, but when I discovered this gorgeous 1968 Zenith console stereo, I knew it had to come home with me.

If you too have been feeling a little overwhelmed by the pace and fickleness in which you find yourself consuming music (and media) in general, read on!
Brava! I love simple fixed and great sound. Sounds like you need to have a proper cocktail party…with Watergate salad.
What a great find!
This type of thing makes you special. I do have a manual can opener and a friend asked me, “What is this and how does it work?” Hah!
Enjoy! I used to love putting a stack of albums on while I did household chores. On of my favorite albums is the original soundtrack of Star Wars.
I recently bought an old stereo with turntable. I have gone crazy with thrifting records. I’m not limiting myself. I bought big band, folk, funk and some bluegrass so far. And comedy. Never forget the comedians.
I’d forgotten about that song until you used it int he title! Thanks for the memory!
Vintage. Very cool find.
Jillian: What a great find, I am 66 and remember the turn tables like it was yesterday, thank-you for sharing this bit of nostalgia, love it.
Blessings
Catherine
Wow. I wish i could find one like this. Enjoy your find.
My husband inherited a record player/radio from his grandmother, somewhat similar to this. He gutted it and installed a new (working) turntable, CD player (still outdated) and Bluetooth (there we go!) with speaker upgrades. It is an awesome piece of furniture.
And now you can listen to that fabulous Sergio Mendes album! My absolute favorite…grew up with his music, and it’s just as relevant today (for me, anyway!)
Great find!
What a great find, and just in time, vinyl is making a comeback!!
I think this is a great find – would love to find one myself!
