Day 156: Feeling Green Dress
When I first embarked upon this project, one of the first thoughts that sprung to my mind was, “What happens if I get sick?”. I quickly decided to avoid thinking about it…until I got sick. :/
Ah yes…over the past few days I’ve been getting gradually more and more ill. Have I stayed home to rest and recover? Heck, no! I’ve been downing Diet Mountain Dew to compensate for the strength and vitality that I’ve been lacking….until today when I konked out on my sofa at 5pm.
Luckily, I drank loads of Diet Dew earlier this afternoon and managed to eke out a refashion. 😉
Today’s piece is a vintage Halston, given to me by my awesome coworker, Rusty. 🙂
This is a terrific piece. I like the weird fake suede fabric, and its trenchcoatish style.
Really, the only thing I didn’t like was the awkward length. So, I lopped it off.
Then I foolishly went out to meet some friends of mine for lunch. 🙂
I promise I’ll have some completely awesome refashions really soon. 🙂 I’m downing OJ by the gallon, drinking loads of water, and Googling every home remedy known to man.
But for tonight…I sleeeeeeeep.
Zzzzzzzzzz….

You don’t look sick. You look adorable as usual. My fav illness remedy is Brunswiich Stew. You should know about that being from the south. I like lots of Tabasco added. I also like hot Dr. Pepper and lemon. But my really fav is have some wonderful man take care of me, lie in a warm cozy bed and down shots of bourbon or vodka.
Take care, I hope you feel better fast!

Wishing loads of positive energy your way and good health. It’s great you are hydrating yourself and getting rest. Health first and then refashioning.
You look great but go out and buy (or send The Fella) some Echinacea…to build up your immune system!
Mountain Dew has no redeeming qualities.

I agree. It’s one of my very few vices. When I was a teenager, I would go through a 2 liter of the stuff every day. When I was in college, I practically lived off of Diet Dew and Twizzlers.
Thanks for the links. I really do need to stop drinking this crap.
Love this dress! Before and after actually. I love vintage clothing unfortunately, most doesn’t fit me. But this one is stinkin’ adorable! Nice work!
