A Few Cool Things!

Ahhhhhhh!  How goes it, friends?  I’m taking a week off from work/refashioning/doing anything responsible whatsoever, but felt the need to let you guys know about a few Reallllllly cool things that are coming up!  🙂

First off, remember when I went to New York back in February?  Did any of you wonder why I did that (or why I was wearing false eyelashes in my after pics)?  Well…I was filmed on an epidsode of The Rachael Ray Show, which is being aired Thursday, July 5!!!!!  Check your local listings, folks!  You can see a snippet of my segment right here!  🙂

We’re totally BFFs now! So why doesn’t she take my calls…and why the restraining order, Rach? I mean geez…you steal ONE risotto pan…:)

That’s not all!  Revente’s Last Call is hosting a fun ReFashionista Day on July 5th!  If you live in the Columbia, SC area, you should come by and check out the show, as well as some sweet second-hand deals!  I promise to make an appearance (especially if they have wine). 🙂

In other cool news, I’m also a theatre reviewer for Jasper now!  I’m pretty darn stoked about it!   They say everyone’s a critic, and now I am that thing!  🙂

Ok.  Back to my week of boozing and sleeping.   It’s a tough gig, but someone’s gotta do it!  😉

Cheers!

Congrats!!!! That’s so exciting!!! I love RR and watch her every morning. I can’t wait to see you, so I can say “I know here! Well I don’t know her, know her, but if I was in Columbia we’d totally be inseparable!” (Please excuse my addiction to exclamation points!!!)

oh wow! So cool, I’ll def be watching Rachael Ray! Congrats

Aw!! I’m so happy and excited for you!! What an honor!! Can’t wait to see the after look of the dress!! Congratulations! <3

Congrats!! I love RR, I watch her everyday!! I can’t wait to see you on the show so I can say, “I know her!! Well I don’t know her per say, but if I lived in S.C. and we met, she’d totally invite me for a drink!!” Thanks for being an inspiration, I’m saving up for my first sewing machine!

Man! I got to the end of the snippet and was so bummed not to see the reveal. I’ll definitely be tuning in on Thursday. How cool was it to go on the Rachael Ray Show?

There you are, on TV, and I can see you all the way from London! Please put up a link to the complete show or have pictures on your blog. We don’t get Rachel here.

Well since I work when Rachel is on – I will definitely PVR that as I am intrigued to see what happens to that pink prom gown. SO funny to finally hear your voice too – and very cool. WAY to go Jillian – a star in the making!

I am so looking forward to seeing what happens to that dress!!!!

That is absolutely amazing! I wish you a lifetime of success, I’m sure you’ll have many more great opportunities come your way.

Congratulations!!!! I can’t wait to see what you do with the dress!!

Yay Jillian!!!!! Congrats! So fun to hear your voice!!! You are such a fun chick! I hope you still hang out with us some.
I have searched TV guide and my DVR and cannot find the show on the 5th. Does anyone know the channel and the time? Or is it syndicated and might not be on here? Please help!

RR airs on ABC in the NY market at 10:00am. 🙂

Thank you, Racy! I will check our local ABC station.

WOW! Congratulations! So proud of you!!! 🙂

How exciting!!! Unfortunately I have to work. I may to attempt to program the VCR (you’re probably too young to know what that is) to watch it. You are such an inspiration to me, although I’m stuck in the rut of turning everything into tote bags!

So nice to have a voice to put with the face too!

SO awesome! You’re a rock star! 🙂 Congrats!

I found your blog through a friends Facebook post and I love it over here! You inspired me to re-make some old tshirts this past weekend 🙂 Congrats on being on Rachel! How cool .

Thrilled to see the snippet!!!! Already have alarms set for Wednesday night and Thursday morning so I won’t miss you!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Woo Hoo! I had seen this on the Rachel Ray website last week and had thought it was from a past show. So glad to see it is yet to come. Can’t wait to see what you do with that dress!

This is so awesomebags, congrats! It’s so lovely to see you in person and as others have said, hear your voice.

I just found this blog 2 days ago, and I have read it from beginning to this post here. I LOVE it all. I am so excited to see all the new things to come. And you have inspired me to learn how to sew. I hope someday I can look as good as you in clothes. Being a plus sized gal makes finding clothes a chore, I am losing weight though thankfully. And I have a few dresses that I would love to re-size along with me, and I see that may be possible which makes me happy. And can’t wait to watch Rachel on Thurs. Keep up the great work. And enjoy your vacation.

Found you just in time. I just discovered your blog yesterday and stayed up so late to read. Its pretty fun to read from newest to oldest. I think you are great and so glad you get to be on her show. By the way…. I still think you need to have a movie made about you.

Be well,

I can’t wait to see you on the show!!!!!

Congratulations! You are a paragon of awesomeness!! I am in awe of everything you have done in the past year, and excited to see the rest of your segment! You are a champion! Now go celebrate:)

That’s really cool! Good for you! I’m glad you are taking a vacation from all things. You’ve been really busy and you deserve it! Can’t wait to see you on Rachel!!

Wish we could get Rachel Ray in the UK! Hope someone posts your part to YouTube so your international fans can watch. We are so proud of all that you have achieved over the last year. Go Jillian!!! Xx

How exciting to be on the Rachel Ray Show!!! Congrats!
It’s scheduled on my Tivo, I can’t wait to see how you refashion the pink prom dress!
Beth

Awesome!!!!

I just stumbled upon your blog only to find out that you are from COLUMBIA?! I wish I would have known this BEFORE I moved to Guam two months ago! That is too exciting that you are on Rachel Ray!! Congrats 🙂

Holy wow! I found you from RR and am soooooo glad I did! Your talent is wicked inspiring- I scrolled through maybe the last 10 or so posts. Love what you did with the bloomers, red ruffle dress, the scraps as a coverup, I could go on and on. Amazing. I think finding you is a sign I should learn how to use the machine I inherited. 🙂

I can’t wait! Just called a family member to have him DVR it for me as I’m at work when Rachel Ray is on (ABC, 10:00 AM in the NYC area.) Congrats!

Yay!! How exciting to see what is going to happen next! And I noticed you had your grandmother’s brooch on 😉 which is very cool…

I’m watching it now! Everything you do is so brilliant!

I’m watching it now! Happened to have it on and recognized you right away! What a wonderful thing to happen to such a wonderful lady. Best wishes!

judt saw you on RR what you do is great

I was watching Rachel Ray and I saw you. So, here I am checking out your blog. I love how skilled you are. All of the outcomes are amazing!

CONGRADS!!! I have loved your blog for a long time, and this news was so exciting I had to comment! Way to go and what a great choice to wear!

I saw you on the RR show today…you are amazing…I JUST donated my wedding dress (That I LOVED and had no idea what to do to modernize it) Now I am kicking myself,,I loved that dress…Hopefully someone else will love it as much…

I just watched you on Rachel Ray. That was an awesome refashion!

I have enjoyed following your progress. You have had a journey of discovery which has opened doors for you and also has left you forever changed. Well done! I hope you continue with more creative projects. In the meantime, take a deep breath and enjoy a well deserved break.

Watching RR…waiting to see the final results. I love your blog. I have shared the link with my friends. You have inspired many…including me…I only wish I could sew. On the brightside a friend gave me her old sewing machine…that is one step closer to my dream of becoming a mini ReFashionista. Thanks for the many hours of smiles spending time on your blog!

You’re awesome! I’ve been following your blog for a while. You did a great job over the year! I just watched you on Rachel and you did a great job!

Um, YES! That was awesome on RR! I hope they have you again!!

Oh dang it!! I just saw this post and totally missed seeing you on the show. But, from the clip, it looks like you were totally awesome!!!! I’m going to have to see if I can find the whole segment now, I’m dying to see the finished product. Congratulations!! I think they should totally give you a weekly segment on the RR show!!!

I loved it! I’ve so enjoyed (and been inspired) “watching” you refashion! You are awesome! And so very cute today on the RR show! Congratulatons!

Jillian ! You were fantastic on the RR show ! The result of the dress is also fa-bu-lous ! It was very nice to hear your voice too. So how long did it take you to refashion that dress ? Do you have a picture of the back also ? And I was not aware that you wore those creations only once and donated them back. I am so inspired by that. I was really wondering what kind of closet space you had !!! You rock girl !

Lady YOU ROCK! I love how you transform clothing into a completely new item. What a gift you are blessed with. And then giving the clothing to a women’s shelter. What a kind, thoughtful thing to do. Saw you on RR Show and I am now a fan. Keep up the great work and God Bless.

That is so cool! Since I started reading blogs i love seeing all of my fav bloggers on TV. So sad I didn’t get to see the show today though 🙁

The dress was awesome. You blew Rachael away! But then, we knew you would.

You are a rock star!!!! I found your blog only a couple of months ago and I’m just amazed at what you can do. Then today I was watching RR and there you were. You were amazing. I wish you the best in all you do.

I saw you on the Rachael Ray show. Like what you did with the prom dress! Very pretty. I think that you’re quite creative & doing this for such a great cause. The women’s shelter saved my life a few years ago & it is because of the staff that I am where I am today. Thanks for being a ray of light in the world & best wishes for continued success.

You did great on RR! It was a cool segment! Maybe you should blog about what it was like behind the scenes!! Congrats!!

I happen to catch you on RR! I love her and love her show! I’m so glad that I had a chance to watch the show this week since I’ve been on vacation and saw your segment. LOVE your blog and what you do with your amazing clothes! This really shows you can do so much with random finds. Can’t wait to keep up with your blog and see what else you come up with!

Watched the show today. You were fabulous, of course! I loved the end result of the dress. You have inspired me to the point that this non-crafty, no-idea how to even begin sewing is going to buy a machine and teach myself. I even have my first project in mind…a skirt that is a bit too long. Again, I am so glad I stumbled upon your blog!

You were wonderful on RR today!! I just found your blog last week and have been scrolling thru all the past refashions! I sew as a part time business (window treatments, etc) and have refashioned a few things for myself but you really inspired me to try it again!! I found a couple of things at our thrift store over the weekend and now have two new cute linen tops!! You did a great job on that prom dress and you are so cute and creative. Keep up the great work you do!!

Loved you on RR today, it was great putting a live person to the blog, if that makes any sense! Xoxo

So cool! Watched you on RR and that dress looked amazing!!! I love your blog! I too have refashioned some hideous dresses to make them cuter, but I definitely don’t have your skills! Keep ‘em coming, you’re definitely an inspiration!!

Jillian, you are AMAZEBALLS! Loved what you did with that prom dress – enjoy your week off, and keep doing what you do!

I just found your blog a couple of days ago and have been spending all of my free time reading it and getting inspired! I am so mad that I just saw this today and therefore missed the Rachel Ray show 🙁 but I’m going to look to see if I can find it elsewhere! 🙂 You are so amazing and have absolutely opened my eyes and let me see clothes differently! I especially like the simple skirt to dress refashions because they are something even I (who can’t even thread a needle -.-) can do! Thank you for sharing your fabulous creations!!

You are amazing in more ways than one. You are def. a girl of several trades and so crafted and skilled. You wear your heart like you wear your clothes, fully on display..donating and recycling back to the women you donate to, I am sure you’ve brightened a lot of women’s days and gave them a lot of smiles.
Sorry I just caught onto you from watching Rachael yesterday, but so psyched I did. Your talent is beyond skilled or amazing. Seriously, you are effin’ awesome!
Loved what you did with that pink prom dress, now you’ve inspired to get my prom dress from my prom years ago refashioned, so would rather have you do it!
Hope your goals and dreams keep becoming aligned, etc. Best of luck in whatever you do!

I missed the show yesterday! how can I watch it? can any one tell me? Thank you

Congrats on your year and all the maturing and wisdom that came w/ it. The good Lord has always shown me ways to redirect my path when I thought I had it in my head to go one way an opportunity would come along and I would just adapt. My soul is at peace after some growing up I had to do. I wish you well and pray for guidance to come from above. Also I’m looking forward for your next project
Peace ; )

Loved the segment but I want to know what you did with the dress?!!! Live really does seem on the up for you right now, I´m so pleased for you!

You go, Girl! You truly inspire me and I think it is great that you are helping out with a good cause, also! Thank you for all you do.

I can’t believe I’ve only just found this blog. I’ve spent 2 days reading all your posts, it’s so inspiring and I have loads of clothes I’ve kept to one side to recycle, as well as one I bought for the sole purpose of making into something else. As soon as I’m better (sick atm) I will get to work now I’ve got a load of ideas from your blog…thanks for such a fantastic read! xxx

Yes . . . may we see a photo of the finished outfit??? THANK YOU! 🙂
