A Silken Skirt Dress
It’s been a while since my last post, eh? Not to worry. I’m not going anywhere. I’m just busy mulling ideas over for what shall surely be an amazing Year 2 of my blog (starts next month!). I’m getting quite excited about it! 🙂
Today’s outfit began as a discarded silk skirt.
Cheers!

Hey, the quickie transformations still count, IMO. I’m currently wearing a maxi-dress that the only thing I did to it was add some straps. (One of those hippie-looking ones with the super-gathered elasticy tops– the straps were basically to prevent wardrobe malfunctions!) And I think it makes the idea of refashioning less intimidating, if people see that all that needs to be done sometimes to make something frumpy into something cute is, say, wear it as a dress instead of a skirt. Or chop the hem off. Or other really simple fixes.
I don’t trust those elastic-y tops either! Thanks for making me feel like a bit less of a slacker. 🙂
Well, not only did you repair it, you also wore what was originally a skirt as a dress, so yes I think this definitely counts as a refashion! Craving a blueberry mojito, it looks yummy!
