Day 243: Feeling Spotty Dress
Today’s dress was a sweet, though mumsy $1 find.
I really feel like South Carolina has somehow cheated winter this year. I feel as if we’ve gotten away with something…like we stuck it to the man! Don’t ask me which man (the weatherman maybe?). So here I am, in February, ready to go about my day in a sleeveless dress!
It just needed a couple of tweaks!
I used the cut off scrap to make a sash and a matchy-matchy driving scarf!
Now my new dress is all ready for a day off spent lugging bins around and afternoon/evening with friends. 🙂
I deal with anything emotional, whether good or bad, in pretty much the same way.
While out at Delaney’s, I ran into my old roller derby buddy, Carol. I loved her dress and just had to snap a pic with her! 🙂
Okay…so I know a lot of you are wondering how I’m doing. Here’s the nitty gritty in pictures:
Cheers!

Love the dress makeover and love you too! What a beautiful smile you have…keep on smilin’ girl and the world will smile back!
Beautiful! Good to hear you have a new place all ready organised. Onwards and upwards!
Hurray for the new home – and new life that lies ahead.
I wish You all the best.
That dress is really cute. I wish I would wear things like that, but here in Poland, it’s snowing heavily. 🙂
Glad to hear you are getting sorted with your own place, that will make a HUGE difference to how you feel. And I have to say, you look very like a Chica Andaluza today in your flamenco spotted dress – ¡muy guapa!
Here in Tampa, FL we feel like we’ve missed winter too. Which is too bad really, since I have SO many cute pairs of boots, tights and sweaters that didn’t see the light of day this year. I’m happy for you that you’ve found a place to live and the dress turned out awesome. And I also do the same thing under any circumstances – drink and eat! So I’ll say CHEERS to that!
Love how you made the top loose and flowy! Adorable! And I am very happy to see you smiling 🙂
Not only was your refashion super cute, but your friend Carol’s dress was also very pretty. Glad to hear you will be in your new abode next month. Having your own place will help make the transition much smoother. Slowly, but surely, you will leave the sadness behind and start a more fulfilling life surrounded by loving friends and family.
This is one of my favorites! Love it =D
Awesome dress pretty lady! So glad you are doing fantastic and excited for your new place, maybe equipped with a fancy shmancey sewing room? All the best!
I love this one. I would pay good money for it! What more could you ask: polka dots, sash, flowy fabric.
Bought a dress today to play with. Wish me luck!!!
