Today, I wasn’t feeling very fashionable with all the housekeeping the fella and I had to do. I also had to take a much-needed trip to the grocery store. I had a bunch of T-shirts that were stained, faded, and/or stretched out and cluttering up my stash.

I turned them inside-out and sewed the bottom hem closed.

Then, I turned the shirts right-side out and chopped off the sleeves and neck hole.

My plan is to turn the unwearable T-shirts Revente’s Last Call gets in into shopping bags for their customers to take home and reuse. 🙂 I decided to test my new bags out. Could they hold all my heavy groceries?

Yup! My new bags worked just fine. 🙂 The checkout guy thought they were really cool, too! 🙂
I love reusable handbags, and it looks like great when our clothes is unused it is good to make a handbags to be useful.
Just reading your blog finally – only found it recently. I LOVE these bags! I’ve made several now and they are the ONLY think I use shopping. They are washable and that makes all the difference. Great blog – love your ideas!!!
I really like the USMC one, but thats bc I am a Marine! Great idea btw!
I am doing this for my neice for xmas!!! Her mom gave me tshirts she loves that dont fit anymore and i am turning them into bags so she can keep them. She is an 11 year old fashionista hippie so it should be perfect!!

I could definitely make the time for the children’s hospital. If you’re out Wed. night, we’ll talk. 🙂
Where do you find the time to do all this?! Very impressive, and a great idea.
Oy…I’m really not sure. I haven’t been to the gym in far too long though! :/ I’m glad you like the bags!
That is SUCH an excellent idea! I’m ALL about reusing and recycling and only use my own grocery bags so I’m LOVING this idea – totally going to copy you! Now we’ll all be carrying cool shopping bags! Maybe it will spark a trend!
I would LOVE to see more people in Publix toting their own tshirt bags! 🙂 Glad you like ’em!
I love reusable bags almost as much as I love this idea!!!
