Over the past year and a half, I have learned to love the MuuMuu. 🙂 It may sound nutty, but hidden in each and every MuuMuu is a cute and extremely comfortable dress! When I snagged this one for $1, I knew it would make a lovely little dress in no time! 🙂

I have to confess, I’m still always perplexed when I find these weird, solo-pocketed numbers.

Making a MuuMuu into a dress is one of the easiest things in the world. All you need is a pair of fabric scissors! 🙂
First, hack off some of the length. Err on the side of caution here. You can always chop off more later.

Don’t toss out the bottom part! You’re going to need it to make a sash to cinch the waist of the dress.
If you don’t have a sewing machine, the best way to make a decent-looking sash is to work with the existing hem. Trim off all the excess material that shows beyond the hem, like so:

Now you have everything you need to make a simple MuuMuu dress. Just tie the sash around your waist, and pull some of the material through. Now you’re good to go! 🙂

Cheers!
Didn´t know what a MuuMuu was – now I do! Well done on another great Refashion.
