Day 169: Shortening a Thrift Store Dress

Day 170: You Look Good in Blue Dress
Day 168: Scrap Bustin' Pin Cushion

Today’s dress was gifted to me by my super-swell coworker, Kim!  She found it on a $1 rack at Goodwill.

She thought the pattern was too pretty to pass up, and I must say, I agree with her!  🙂

Pretty Pattern!

That terrible right-above-the-ankle length was killing it though!  I made a quick chop.

Chop!

After that, I folded the bottom fabric under twice about 1″.

Then, I stitched my new hem down.

And I couldn’t forget these guys!

removed shoulder pads

Now that dress is ready for a fun cocktail party!  🙂

Thanks, dear readers for bearing with me during my sickly phase.  I’m feeling much better, so look forward to some fun & fabu refashions!  🙂

Cheers!
