One of my New Years resolutions is to stop looking like a bum at work. Sure, sometimes I actually wear my cute dresses to the office, but all too frequently, I just toss on a black Tshirt, jeans, and flip flops. Seriously…what is my problem? I work for an arts agency that doesn’t really have much of a dress code (although it discourages shorts and bare feet. I’m not joking.), but that doesn’t mean I should just roll out of bed and not even try to look nice during the day.
When Revente’s Last Call gave me this dress, I knew it would be perfect for work. 🙂

It’s lovely! It’s silk! And it took me a minute to figure out what was wrong with it.

All the seams of the skirt were coming undone. There were even a couple of holes (of course I managed to delete that pic…but I’m sure you know what a hole looks like).
I took the dress to my sewing machine and re-stitched every single seam.

I kept to my resolution, and actually wore it to work, too!

Cheers!
That is gorgeous! I’m sure the equivalent would cost a TON in a store!
Love it – and it sounds like you work in a fun place!
Thank you! I’m really lucky to work for an organization I really believe in, The SC Arts Commission! 🙂
