Day 191: Scrap Bustin' Top
Day 189: Holey Moley!

Ah!  Flowers and leopard print…a perfect combination!

Day 190: Leopard Garden Top 2
Not! 😛

Actually, I don’t mind the oddball combo, but I’m seeing a bit too much of it!  I decided to lop off a bunch from the bottom, and make this dress into a top!  It’s definitely a jeans day for me, folks!  🙂

Chop!

Next, I stitched up that raw edge.  There will be no fraying for this girl!

Day 190: Leopard Garden Top 4
Pin it!
Day 190: Leopard Garden Top 5
Stitch it!

I haven’t nagged you guys about this for a while, but make sure you press all of your new seams and hems.  This makes you piece look more polished, and it helps set the stitches too!  🙂

Day 190: Leopard Garden Top 6
A most "press"ing matter! hehe!

Now my new top is ready for a fun night of hanging out with friends!

Day 190: Leopard Garden Top 7
Yay!

Cheers!

  1. I cannot understand how the dress went from hideous to trendy and cute simply because you significantly shortened it, but it did. Mind boggling.

  2. Holy crap! I LOVE this top! Actually, I love just about everything that you have done! I am what you could call, a terrible craft person. I am. I cannot sew a stich to save my life, (basically, I would just die) but I have been looking at everything you have accomplished and I want to do it too!!! I am an avid goodwill-thrift clothes shopping fiend, (my whole outfit to day is from a goodwill) so I have that covered! If only I could convince my huzzy to buy me a sewing machine….
