Today’s dress has all of my most favoritest colors in the whole wide world!

Sadly, that’s about all there is to love about this one.  I decided to kick things up a notch and make this dress every bit at flirty and fun as that fubu print!

First, these guys were ripped out with my bare hands!  RAWR!

Byeee weirdo triangle pads! πŸ™‚

Then I turned the dress around to the button up back, and cut along that seam a bit…

Snip!

This left me with enough room to pull the dress down over my shoulders.  I used the sleeves to tie the whole thing up, and Voila!  πŸ™‚

Here’s a closer look at how I tied the sleeves on the side:

Get a little closer!

I’m so happy with how this no-sew refashion worked out!  This might just be one of my favorites!

I decided to don my favorite new thrifted handbag that I scored for $1.  πŸ™‚

I think it looks like an owl.

Fella says it looks like a thong.  :/

It’s definitely an owl, right?

Now you tell me…who’s right?

Cheers!

  1. I’ve loved reading your blog… You may have already shown this how-to in another post (i haven’t read them all yet), but how exactly do you wrap the sleeves around to look so perfect? I would love to know! Thank you!

  2. Definitely an owl – don’t even see a thong! I think if you shortened that dress it would be even cuter but the print and the colors are AWESOME!

  3. Owl.
Oh, and “Voila!” is from the French, a combination of the second person singular imperative of voir (“to see”) + la (“there”), or so says dictionary.com.
(Sorry, had to geek out on you…)
    Love your stuff!!!

  4. The dress looks infinitely better. Great job!
It’s definitely an owl–you could add some googly eyes to it, just to end the debate. lol

Trust a guy to see a thong there though. πŸ™‚
