I’ve been fairly obsessed with refashioning sweaters this year, friends.

I hate being cold. And I hate wearing ho-hum boring sweaters. Luckily for me and like-minded DIYers, thrift stores are FULL of blank canvases (i.e. sweaters) that are rife (yes, rife!) with refashion potential!

That’s why I’m sharing this roundup of my favorite sweater refashion tutorials. Some are mine, and some are from other talented upcyclers you might not have met before!

Please pin this roundup or any tutorial you especially like so you can try one of these fun projects yourself!

I hope these ideas have left you inspired and ready to look at those boring thrift store sweaters in a new way!

Cheers!

  1. This is a great list! I like the second cardigan with the flowery trim, and the 1940s style boat neck one. I’ll check out some of the others, but will never leave your blog! Next time you do a list of projects, if you see any plus-size ones that would be bonus 🙂

  3. YESSSS! I only viewed the more complex refashions, and I was consistently confused or overwhelmed by the written instructions. It makes me appreciate our Jillian that much more!

But–this was a great compilation! Just looking at the images you shared was so fun. Thanks for sharing!
