This $1 thrifted dress made me look like a diner waitress.

While there is certainly nothing wrong with being a diner waitress (I’m pretty sure they’re all higher earners than me), this dress really doesn’t work outside of that specific setting. I liked that blue pinstripe pattern, but that collar and those sleeves? No thank you!
I immediately got started removing everything diner-y from this dress that was just dying to be off work!

For my next trick, I snipped off those elastic wristbands.

I tied the elasticy bits around the shoulders of my new dress to bring them in a bit. Now that dress is ready for a wonderful Yappy Hour with Douglas and Friends! You can read my article on Dog-Friendly places in Columbia in my column in MidlandsBiz! 🙂

Douglas had a great time meeting new friends! 🙂

I used a scrap from this refashion to help Ladybird (everyone’s favorite Purseranian) accessorize!

Cheers!
I love ladybird XD
She leads an exciting life! 😉
It is a very cute refashion!
We should never have to apologize for wearing comfortable shoes. I love how simple this refashion was and how nicely it turned out!
I simply don’t know how you do it……week in, week out!!
So cute, yet again!!
Summer’s dress looks a little like the before, lol. Cute.
Guilty 🙂 Could definitely use some accessories! lol
I love this one. However, you could have made the hemline a little shorter to shoe off your great legs (a contribution from my hubs)
Cute! I like how the straps turned out!
The dress turned out great! Your article was good too. I’m going to search out places like that around here in Charlotte for my little Minnie (^_^)
And your belt looks so good with it!
I was a little skeptical that your “diner” dress could be saved, but it looks so cute! Awesome job!
Super Cute! Another great refashion 🙂
So cute and summery….
I saw you got Ladybird whilst in Texas… King of the Hill fan I take it? 🙂
