    Hooray for warmth!  South Carolina is finally hitting those magical temperatures that make you understand what Tennessee Williams meant by The Long, Hot Summer.  I love it.  I love not having to wear layers.  I love how the heat makes everyone just a little crazy.  I love going barefoot and feeling like I could drink the air because it’s so humid. And I love fun summer frocks!     Day 62: Applique Those Holes Away!

    In the beginning, there were two shirts. One of these shirts was a boob tube, and therefore unfit to be worn in public. The other was plagued with holes near the bottom. I cut out the awesome design from the boob tube and pinned it to the tshirt, covering all those holes. Then I stitched it down with my machine, moving along the line of the applique. Now my tee is saved from my “Only wearable at the gym…and not when the gym is busy” drawer.  🙂 I wore my tee for a nice walk down to 5 Points and back.  🙂 Fella and I have a fun weekly routine…

    All About an Awesome Applique

    This dress really wasn’t that bad when I found it.       It’s a nicely fitted leopard print shirtdress with 3/4 sleeves.  I know some of you are cringing at the print, but I have a confession to make.  I actually really like leopard print!  It’s fun! Especially when worn in a cute 50’s pinup kind of way.       This dress actually fit me quite well…er…um…okay…it was a bit snug.         I am not a size 0.  I am going to tactfully refrain from revealing my true dress size, but 0 it is not.  There was no way to let this dress out a bit, as there wasn’t enough of a seam allowance inside.   Whatever…I…
