Day 204: Have a Nice Trip Dress
I love Kaftans! You could definitely say I’m Kaftan Krazy, because any time I find on hanging on the $1 rack at one of my fave thrift stores, I just have to scoop it up! You can imagine my glee at finding this sweet numba! Of course, I can’t go out for a fun Friday night looking like this! First, I pinned each side about 3″ in. It is time for some lipo! Next, I ran each side through my…

Day 133: The Mirror Has Two Dresses
Today’s piece was taken from the big bag ‘o stuff from Susan Lenz (remember her?). This one made me giggle. This is one EXTREME kaftan! 🙂 Check out those mirrors all over the chest and hems! Sadly, about six of the mirrors had fallen off from the top of the kaftan. Oh Kaftan! My Kaftan! Vol. 2
My eyes were immediately drawn to this very loud Kaftan when I saw it at my favorite $1 thrift store. I just knew it would make a cute little summer dress. As today was a lovely 75 degrees, some of that fabric was gonna have to go. I stashed the…

A Happy Hippie Dress to Top Refashion
Today’s refashion was super simple. I found this guy at the dollar-a-pound Goodwill, and loved it right away. I love the bright colors and the light, breezy fabric! If I were of a kaftan-wearing sort, I would have kept it as-is. Sadly, I am not. I’ve been a wee bit stressed lately. All I wanted was a comfy top to throw on over some jeans for my date with some fresh-baked cookies and theeeeeese guys: This seriously might be the funniest…

Oh Kaftan! My Kaftan!
I’m not gonna lie to you guys. Today’s piece is NOT a thrift store item. It’s brand spankin’ new, right out of 2G’s, where I work most Saturdays. That being said, it WAS super-duper on sale. With the sale price paired with my employee discount, this kaftan came to somewhere around $5. Whatevrah. I can splurge every now and then if I want to. And, I’m about to make it look like another dress that costs a whopping $350! As…
