Today is the day I get completely caught up on my blog. I mean it. Being behind is driving me INSANE, and it’s probably incredibly annoying for you guys to feel like you’re living in the past!

Check out my amazing technicolor dream haul for this week!
As you can see from the first two items, I still have vacation on the brain. With temps in the 40’s right now, there’s no way I’ll be wearing either of them for a little while yet.

The remaining three pieces were all hanging side by side on the “new arrivals” rack at one of my favorite thrift stores. I’m noting this because they’re also all made in Italy, all appear to be from the 60’s, and are all the same size. I honestly can’t believe my luck at finding them!

The final item in my haul is one I’m probably way too excited about.

You’re looking at a hand-cranked cheese grater with attachments for coarse or fine, as well as a slicer attachment. Gone are precious minutes spent cleaning my food processor when all I need is just a cup of shredded Gruyere! Isn’t this little gadget just awesome?
Here’s the Grand Total:
4 Dresses: $4
1 Skirt: $1
Cheese Thingy: $1
Total: $6!
I use that cheese grater to make my homemade laundry soap!
Well I certainly don’t mind you having a break and catching up; it’s lovely to see all your recent posts popping up, it truly cheers me up! I still have 2 tshirts waiting for ideas but at least I have a plan and I’ve cut into the second of the 4 I have. It may turn into a summer dress yet!
Love your haul for so little price! Can’t wait to see what you will do with them all!
Your purchases are truly fabulous! They seem to be all cotton and well made. I would have bought them myself. Here’s my question: Do you have legs? I always see you in black stockings/leggings and boots. I am curious about this. Sue in Charlotte
What a haul! These are all amazing!
Wow. Great things you find. Prices are awsome as well. I Denmark where i live it has become popular to thriftshop so some shopes have dobbelt there prices. Great for the shops, not so great for the people who cant afford buying stuff anywhere else. Love you blog giving idears on how to remake my closet ☺ thanks ☺
I love the skirt! But I’d have to control the urge to colour it with markers.
Exactly.
Great finds. As for the blog, don’t fret about keeping to a fixed schedule. I always look forward to finding the latest post in my in-box, and 2 in one day is even more of a treat.
I have a sleeveless dress that I wear a tank underneath it in the summer and in the winter I wear a v-neck long-sleeved shirt underneath and then add a sweater or jacket over it if needed.
I love that first dress, what great finds! 🙂
more comments for the mouli grater than for the frocks! XD
i also have one, a top 70’s orange one (AND i had it in the original vintage box!!).
i use it for cheese and also for carrots and white radishes.
I too have a fancy old cheese grater. Not only does it work great, but it was my grandmas and is quite old. (She was born in 1904). Love all of your bright colors
I love the cheese grater! We have a similar gadget. Love it!
I don’t know the fabric of the first dress but it could work w a shirt over or under w a belt, tights and boots depending on the weight of the fabric. I love the colors of that dress and excited to see how you will finally choose to Rock it.
The striped shirt dress! I can almost sense the touch of that glorious cotton from here. Beautiful classic thanks for rescuing it!
For the cheese grater, I had a plastic one, beware with very hard cheeses, mine broke. I have an “all metal” one now and so far, so good (plus I can throw it in the dishwasher, wouldn’t recommend that for the plastic)
Also, grate all the cheese leftovers, even if you don’t need it at the time and freeze it. Especially harder/older cheeses are great for that ’cause you can take out just whatever you need easily. 🙂
Hi, did you get my question about the Met books that don’t seem to be free?
Please don’t be so tough on yourself for being behind with posts! Your blog is all about creativity and creativity can be diminished when deadlines come into play. We will see your posts when we see them! Thanks for all of the inspiration and fun.
Ah, a thrifter after my own heart. I love the $1 banana republic dress!
Love, Love, Love your site, thank you so much for inspiring me!
I have that cheese grinder and I use it quite frequently! I also use it for other things I need grated such as nuts, hard butter, etc. L
Ooo! I also scored a cheese grinder like that a a massive garage-sale type market in my city! Very useful, love all the new and regular posts, they keep me dreamin and inspired 🙂
Thanks Lindi for the ideas! We have one, not just for cheese anymore.
Always look forward to your posts : ) Definitely a busy lady! Thank you for taking the time to share!
Awesome technicolor fashion score there! And the Mouli Grater thingy… you will LOVE it!
That black and white skirt looks like Zentangle! Fun! (Are you going to keep the side slit?)
Luv that stripey shirt!
